1. Education – Information is the key to prevention. NIDR will provide you educational
materials in order to lessen your risk of identity theft. By keeping you up to date
regarding better practices, the latest scams and techniques used by identity thieves
and informing you of new guidelines and regulations you will be better protected
against the threat of identity theft.
2. Crisis Preparation Kit – NIDR provides each member with a Crisis Preparation
Kit (CPK) that is used to record all non-public information (NPI) as it pertains
to your personal documents. Once completed this form is sealed and stored either
in a safety deposit box, with their attorney or CPA. Properly using the CPK allows
you to quickly obtain your NPI in the event it is needed. This form may also be
used to contact NIDR in order to replace documents in the event of a natural disaster,
fire, flood, break in, lost or stolen purse/ wallet or even a death in the family.

3. Document Replacement -Provides replacement assistance for personal documents
lost, destroyed or stolen. Covers fire, flood, natural disaster, home break-in,
theft or loss. NIDR will consult with you to ascertain the severity of the event
and to start the notification process; Identify missing documents; contact each
and every creditor/bank in question while you are on the phone; cancel your affected
Credit Cards, Licenses and other documents as needed; request new replacement cards,
documents, PIN numbers, etc. In most cases NIDR can provide completed forms necessary
to obtain replacement documents. If the personal documents were stolen, NIDR will
initiate the fraud affidavit and police report. In the event of Identity Fraud or
Identity Theft, NIDR will provide complete Identity Theft Recovery for the Member
at no additional charge.
4. Identity Finder – More and more individuals are using home pc’s or laptops in
order to access or store account details and other Non-Public Information. NIDR
provides the only software application available, through our partner Velosecure,
to protect, remove or encrypt personal information found on your device. Identity
Finder allows you to view and control information you may not be aware is available
on your pc or laptop in the event it is hacked or stolen. |
